d'Arenberg Winery

d’Arenberg is a renowned family-owned winery situated in McLaren Vale, South Australia, with a rich history dating back to 1912. Founded by Joseph Osborn, the estate is now led by his great-grandson, Chester Osborn, who has been at the winemaking helm since 1984. The winery is celebrated for its commitment to traditional winemaking methods, including basket pressing and minimal intervention, resulting in wines that are unfiltered and unfined.

d’Arenberg's diverse portfolio includes over 60 wines, known for their distinctive and often whimsical names, such as 'The Dead Arm Shiraz' and 'The Love Grass Shiraz'. The estate's flagship wine, 'The Dead Arm', is particularly notable for its complexity and ageing potential. Visitors to d’Arenberg can experience its offerings at the d’Arenberg Cube, a multi-level, futuristic building housing a tasting room, art installations, and the Alternate Realities Museum, offering a unique blend of wine, art, and architecture.
